Saturday noon. I showed up expecting a line but was surprised that only three tables had seated. By the time we were done with our meal at 2, the place was full and happening. Perhaps everyone was just running late today Service: I loved how friendly and nice the staff was. But I think they were understaffed today. Twice they had brought us the wrong things or missing things. Atmosphere: great space. The weather was perfect for sitting outdoor and the DJ was keeping an awesome jam going. The staff didn't mind that we were taking our sweet time as it was four ladies catching up. Every now and then, they checked to see if we needed anything. Never to nudge us to go. Food: they are known for their wood fired pizzas and they truly do not disappoint. They also have an amazing arsenal of beer. Really can't go wrong there.

This place reminds me of 'Where The Wild Things Are' (Maurice Sendak) trees growing up through the picnic tables and brick floor of an old auto dealership, cozy and dimly lit, plenty of room for all, excellent beer, pizza, food, homemade salad dressings and dipping sauces, excellent service. A very small glass of 14.9% ABV cabernet is $12, other than that, personal pizzas range from $17-$21 and are easily customized with add-on toppings from the QR code ToasTab menu. I'll be back with friends!

Great selection of beer and all the workers are very kind. Chill ambiance with nice outdoor seating. The only reason why I would give a 4/5 is the meat and cheese platter was not good, not worth the price, would not recommend. The summer corn is pretty good. But the beer is what makes this place great.

We stopped by Drake's quite recently and were stunned to find no significant crowds in what we remembered as the "hot" Uptown area. What we did find was plenty of empty storefronts and very few people who weren't queuing up at Humphry Slocombe. It was therefore no surprise when we entered that there were plenty of open tables at Drake's Dealership, both inside and outside. We chose an inside table to watch soccer on the screens and stayed for drinks and a quick dinner. We ordered our drinks by chatting with the guys behind the bar, who were perfectly delightful. To get food, we scanned the QR food and typed into a phone. Both ordering systems worked well. The only glitch is that one of our entrées came out about five minutes after the rest of our food was brought to our table; for a while, we were left wondering whether our last burger had been somehow forgotten. My five-star rating takes into account: The overall atmosphere of the place, which I thought was great! The beers (and a glass of wine), which were perfectly wonderful. (I had the Hazy Susan, which was a fine hazy IPA.) The eats, which were surprisingly delicious. The "just a salad" (with vinaigrette dressing and some extra red onion) punched above its weight, and the drive-in burger got devoured almost instantly. This Uptown area is once and future cool. It's time to start hanging out here again.
